The “New Foundation” . . . How to Push Through a Radical Health Care Plan: UPDATED and DEVELOPING: “GE is bringing a whole new meaning into your “life” and it has nothing to do with elecronics”

When dealing with radical politicians and their voting record, the 1st course of action is to follow the money…

Pharma and health product industry campaign contributions continue to rise, with donations to Sen. Barak Obama at $900,000 and contributions to Sen. John McCain about half that; combined with contributions to Sen. Hilary Clinton, that brings the Democratic contribution total to almost three times that of the Republican total:

AstraZeneca’s Flu Campaign Season Begins (Pharma’s Market)
In his blog, Mike Huckman discusses new statistics regarding the amount of money pharma has contributed to presidential candidates in the upcoming election.

After highlighting a new online ad campaign from AstraZeneca in which consumers are urged to choose their preferred “administration” for flu vaccine, Huckman provides some numbers about political campaign contributions.

“As of last Wednesday, the pharmaceuticals/health products industry has given more than $900,000 to Sen. Barack Obama. And Sen. John McCain has moved into third place with $442,000 in contributions,” he writes. “And all told, so far, the drug companies, which traditionally favor Republicans over Democrats, have given three times as much money to Sen. Obama and Sen. Hillary Clinton combined than [they have] to the presumptive GOP nominee.”

And who is part of this? None other than NOVAVAX, the bio-tech firm who’s stock just doubled from this so called flu-pandemic:

Aug 2008: A new bird flu vaccine developed by Novavax from insect cell cultures proved effective in spurring an immune response in a human trial. Report

So, this is government we can trust?

Expect more fear mongering from the hill to promote their agenda and gain financial benefit to those that supported their campaign AKA “pay to play” Washington style. GE is bringing a whole new meaning into your “life” and it has nothing to do with elecronics.

In the meantime, take precautions as you would for any flu season, just know that it was the vaccine that caused the deaths in 1918 flu pandemic, not the flu itself. Buyer beware.

Why Obama is so “Unwilling” to let go of the Auto Industry

TIC (teleprompter in chief) just announced the government is not in the auto business and that GMAC will fund future Chrysler products…in the same breath he announced that “we the people” will be funding GMAC in their efforts to fund this ponzie scheme because the UAW has already given to many concessions to ask them to give more.

How stupid does he really think we are? Does he really think he is fooling us?

Control of organised labor is a key component of the Obama administration’s power plan.

The Communist Party USA’s Peoples Weekly World January 31st ’09 quoted President Obama as saying;

“I do not view the labor movement as part of the problem. To me, it’s part of the solution.”

Obama wants to unify the labor movement under a centralised socialist leadership, answerable to him. This will provide President Obama and the Democrats with money and armies of loyal foot soldiers for their battles with the Republicans, “disloyal” Dems and non compliant businesses.

It will also enable Obama to neutralise resistance to amnesty and citizenship for more than 10 million illegal workers curently in the US-which will almost certainly lock in millions of extra votes for Obama and the Democrats.

One organisation, American Rights at Work (ARW) has served as a key transmission belt from Obama to the labor movement. It is now looking increasingly like becoming Obama’s key control mechanism over the union movement.

ARW has strong ties to Obama’s old friends Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), the ultra left “think tank” Institute for Policy Studies (infamous in the 1970s and ’80s for its reported links to Soviet and Cuban intelligence services)and surprisingly one of the US’s largest mosques.

Here’s a “who’s who” of key American Rights at Work personnel.

David Bonior ARW President-A confirmed DSA member, Bonior was honored in December 2008 by Detroit DSA at its 10th annual Frederick Douglass-Eugene V. Debs Dinner.

According to Talking Union; David Bonior served in Congress for 26 years rising through the leadership to become the Democratic Caucus Whip. During his tenure in Congress, Bonior fought to raise the minimum wage, protect pensions, support unions, and extend unemployment benefits. He led the fight to oppose NAFTA in 1993. He worked to prevent war in Central America in the 1980s and again to prevent the Iraq War in 2002. After leaving Congress, Bonior co-founded American Rights at Work, a labor advocacy and research organization, which has made passage of the Employee Free Choice Act its major legislative priority. Bonior was recently appointed to the Obama economic team.

Bonior was touted as a likely Obama Labor Secretary but withdrew his name from contention. Obama then delegated Bonior to broker a re-unification of the US labor movement, bringing the Change To Win grouping and the AFL-CIO back together under one banner.

According to RBO

The NYT’s David Greenhouse reported that, on January 7, the union presidents first met with Bonior, a member of Obama’s economic transition team…Bonior helped “arrange and oversee” the meeting.

The union presidents issued their joint call after the transition team for President-elect Barack Obama signaled that it would prefer dealing with a united movement, rather than a fractured one that often had two competing voices.

Laws Hinder Civility and Morality

Today is the “Infamous” 100th day mark of the new administration, and the fact that today the House of Representatives will be voting on crucial “hate-crime/kill any speech that promotes morality” legislation the the new administration supports, I find myself wondering what kind of future our country has? What kind of precident are we setting for the generations to come?

Then I came across this commentary in WND by Walter E. Williams, Ph.D:

During the 1940s, my family lived in North Philadelphia’s Richard Allen housing project. Many families didn’t lock doors until late at night, if ever. No one ever thought of installing bars on their windows. Hot, humid summer nights found many people sleeping outside on balconies or lawn chairs. Starting in the ’60s and ’70s, doing the same in some neighborhoods would have been tantamount to committing suicide. Keep in mind that the 1940s and ’50s were a time of gross racial discrimination, high black poverty and few opportunities compared to today. The fact that black neighborhoods were far more civilized at that time should give pause to the excuses of today that blames today’s pathology on poverty and discrimination.

Policemen and laws can never replace customs, traditions and moral values as a means for regulating human behavior. At best, the police and criminal justice system are the last desperate line of defense for a civilized society. Our increased reliance on laws to regulate behavior is a measure of how uncivilized we’ve become.

It’s a short, but to the point and hits the nail on the head as to where this country is going if we continue to let the pregressive statists ramrod their agenda down our throats while Christian Conservatives sit back thinking that prayer is the only answer.

Prayer is the 1st step, but God is not going to fix this himself. It is through us that his work is done. It’s time for ALL Christian Conservatives to get off the porch and get out into their communities and actively stand up against the progressive statists. They are going after our youth, and we must meet them head to head to insure that our youth and future generations are educated with the truth, not the propaganda that is tearing this great Constitutional Republic to shreads.

Case in point…Lt. Colonel Allen West, retired military who served in Iraq and Afghanistan calls the Obama administration a “Regime” that does not like this country and that they are trying to remake it into some kind of “Socialist Cesspool”. WOW…listen to the 5 min interview of this outstanding retired military officer. It’s fabulous, we need more like him running for office in 2010. We surely have a few here in SD like this that we can get behind, let’s go get’em, then let’s make sure to support ’em and get them elected into office.

Preparedness vs Panic (UPDATED w/ new reference for research) NEW: 2ND UPDATE W/ TIMELINE and Analysis of SD STRAINS

I have been following the flu viruses reported, going well back into last fall, when the report came out that google would be tracking all flu seaches via google search engine per request of the new Obama administration.

Why would our government want to be tracking flu searches? Could the reason be the 2 missing vials of live flu virus, one avian and the other was human flu virus (a deadly combination if they were ever to get mixed together) that went missing and went all but unreported in the MSM? The answer is unequivocally…YES.

Now, the MSM are still up to shenanigans by reporting this outbreak as swine flu, but if you go to the CDC & the WHO, they are both reporting the virus as a mix of all 3, swine, human and avian. Why are the MSM and the US Govt Officials covering up and misleading the public? Do you know what there may be to lose? Do you know what some might wish to gain? Let us not presume. Let us demand thorough investigation. Anything short of that is foolhardy.

The interview begins at approx 4:20 into the show after the musical opening:

Alexander S. Jones, who has been doing extensive research on what he describes as this man-made virus. Jones is one who predicted what is happening — and worse, in the very near future. Following is yesterday’s email, accredited to Mr. Jones (not the Alex Jones of the netradio program):

As many are aware now, the situation in Mexico is out of control. Doctors on the ground say a minimum of 200 are dead. The virus has clearly spread worldwide, including to the UK , via aircraft, carried by an infected crew, with ~220 people on the aircraft having left or made connecting flights, which means the virus will undoubtedly spread across Europe.

It is my belief that we have cases of swine, cases of avian and also cases of human flu, but with them all in the air and the number of deaths being reported in Mexico City, it is my belief that yes, there is a strain that has morfed into a deadly strain.

PANIC….ABSOLUTELY NOT. But please be prepared. Read, research and take precautions and then give it over to God.

Because of its novelty, humans are unlikely to have any immunity to it. The current seasonal flu vaccine targets a different H1N1 strain and isn’t likely to offer any protection.Indeed, according to a report in Recombinomics, March 24, 2009, the failure rate of the H1N1 virus seen in Rapid City, South Dakota was as much as 50% among those vaccinated for influenza. It’s not clear whether those new virus cases, as the instant virus was only sent for classification in mid-March. . . a “MUST” read

The AP reports that Fox has decided to stick with its regular line-up on Wednesday, meaning it won’t air President Obama’s prime-time news conference marking his 100th day in office. Instead, viewers will see an episode of “Lie to Me.”

ABC, CBS, and NBC will be airing the press conference.

UPDATE: Ladue Pundit posted this clarification: Oh, NBC, CBS and ABC will also be airing “Lie to Me,” the Obama version.

America Grand Jury: “Pouring Oil on Troubled Waters”

Excerpted from: America Grand Jury: “Pouring Oil on Troubled Waters”

Although the laws may vary from state to state, Grand Juries are viewed the way United States Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia sees them,

“In fact, the whole theory of its function is that it belongs to no branch of the institutional Government, serving as a kind of buffer or referee between the Government and the people.”

United States Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia ruled in the case of United States vs. Williams, 504 U.S. 36 at 48 (1992):

“Rooted in long centuries of Anglo-American history, Hannah v. Larche, 363 US 420, 490 (1960) with J. Frankfurter concurring in result, the Grand Jury is mentioned in the Bill of Rights, but not in the body of the Constitution. It has not been textually assigned, therefore, to any of the three branches described in the first three Articles. It is a constitutional fixture in its own right.”

Clearly stated: The Grand Jury is a separate and equal Constitutional power. The Grand Jury is not a tool for government to use against its citizens.

There are not going to be any lynch parties for politicians. As much as we might mention ‘torches and pitchforks,’ the only revolution I support and the only revolutions supported by the leadership of the Grand Jury movement is a revolution as defined by the U. S. Constitution. Our forefathers had the wisdom to provide a way for citizens to redress their grievances in a peaceful way.

The bus workers/supporters can not even answer simple questions to soldiers who have served in Iraq and Afghanstan that pertain to the war and it’s success, they can only spew left-wing talking points. The sponsors of the Bush Legacy Bus are the left-wing Obama supporters: Americans United For Change, SEIU, AFSCME, Move On, Acorn and others.

Why the Law is Foreign to Ginsberg

    April 26, 2009

Why the Law is Foreign to Ginsberg

    By Selwyn Duke

There is an old saying, “A man who is capable of deceiving only others is not nearly as dangerous as a man who is capable of deceiving himself.”  Truer words were never spoken.  When a person lies, he is deceiving others about reality, but at least knows he is engaging in deception.  But when someone rationalizes — which is when you lie to yourself — he is truly lost.  He then not only bends reality for others as a by-product of bending it for himself, but he can render untruths without having to lie.  This is because a lie is when he tells an untruth knowing it’s untrue.  It’s much like when the ever-prevaricating George Costanza character on Seinfeld gave his advice for beating a polygraph machine, “just remember . . . it’s not a lie if you believe it.”

I think of this when I hear Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader-Ginsberg tout the use of foreign law by American judges sworn to uphold the Constitution — that would be our constitution. Speaking about this recently at Ohio State University’s Moritz College of Law, she said,
“I frankly don’t understand all the brouhaha lately from Congress and even from some of my colleagues about referring to foreign law [when handing down court rulings] . . . .”
Well, you know what?  I believe her.  She and her fellow travelers really don’t understand.  That is, they don’t grasp the correct legal philosophy well enough to understand what they’re rejecting.
Note that I called the legal philosophy “correct” and not “strict constructionism,” and for good reason.  When you call it correct, it follows that other positions are incorrect.  But what is the other side of the coin of constructionism?  It would be living-document legal philosophies.  To accept these categorizations implies that we just have a bunch of different credible perspectives on constitutional law, and who is to say what is correct?  Call it, legal relativism.  But more on this in a moment.

At her speech at Moritz College, Ginsberg served notice that — like so many in legal circles today — she is in fact very confused about her role on the bench.  As an example of this, Adam Liptak at The New York Times tells us,
“She added that the failure to engage foreign decisions had resulted in diminished influence for the United States Supreme Court.

The Canadian Supreme Court, she said, is ‘probably cited more widely abroad than the U.S. Supreme Court.’ There is one reason for that, she said: ‘You will not be listened to if you don’t listen to others.'”

This is a striking statement, and it vindicates something I’ve long believed.  I once wrote that part of the problem with our judges is that they’re not content to just be judges.  A judge is much like a referee at a baseball game.  It’s not his place to make or alter the rulebook (Constitution); his is simply to determine whether or not it has been violated. His like or dislike of a rule shouldn’t come into play.

Yet today we have judges who would be kings. They’re not satisfied to just referee; that’s too small a role for them.  They want to be agents of activism, molders of men, shapers of society — and they want the ego satisfaction attending such status.  They want to be respected by their peers around the world, fellow members of the global judicial class. This is evidenced in Ginsberg’s statements. Why should she care if the Canadian Supreme Court is cited more than ours?  Popularity doesn’t equate to perspicacity.  After all, rap stars are far more popular than the most sublime moral philosophers.  And, as far whether or not foreigners listen to her court goes, here’s a newsflash: It matters not to normal Americans whether they do or not.  They’re not governed by American law; thus, our judges’ rulings may be irrelevant to them.  And foreign rulings should certainly be irrelevant to our judges.

Thus, it seems that these things matter to Ginsberg because she isn’t satisfied with her role (a common failing of man).  She wants prestige and respect; she wants to set trends.  Perhaps she should have started a cult.  I hear there’s some land available in northwestern Guyana.

Yet living-document justices are comforted in their misfeasance by rationalizations they conjure up to justify it.  One that Ginsberg has used is to criticize the view that the Constitution is “stuck in time.”  But she has it wrong.  It is not stuck in time but stuck in law.  Law can be changed through legal measures — in the case of the Constitution, the amendment process — but until then it’s supposed to be “stuck.”  The alternative to being stuck in law is being subject to the caprice of those with greater power.  That would mean that you could appear before a judge and he could rule based on whim or that a policeman could arrest you because he believed he had just experienced an epiphany about what the law should be.  In other words, this thinking is no different from the rule of kings, where a Herod could deliver John the Baptist’s head on a plate to please his wife.  It is why G.K. Chesterton said, “There are only two ways of governing: by a rule and by a ruler.”  It is why we should have “the rule of law” and not the rule of lawyers.

And this is why some of us have likened our Supreme Court to a de facto oligarchy.  After all, on what basis does an oligarchy rule?  Its members decide guided by nothing more than the dictates of their own consciences.  So people can put as much lipstick on this pig as they want.  They can wrap their living-document legal philosophy in a million pseudo-intellectual arguments.  But, at the end of the day, it boils down to might makes right.  When justices depart from constitutional constraints, they cannot be voted out of office or fired.  The only thing constraining them then is their own consciences and the regard of their overseas peers — just as with an oligarchy
This is why I would have far more respect for someone who overtly defies the law (think Martin Luther King and civil disobedience) and simply refuses to comply.  For he is deceiving neither himself nor others.  He is simply saying that the law is wrong, that it violates a higher law and that it’s the duty of all good people to defy it.  It is the difference between an open declaration of war and the use of subterfuge and subversion.

This brings us to a question.  If Supreme Court Justices can rule contrary to the letter and spirit of the supreme law of the land on the basis that the Constitution is not “stuck in time,” why can lower courts not apply the same reasoning to what is called “settled law” (areas where the Supreme Court has interpreted the Constitution “definitively”)?  After all, how can law ever be “settled” if it can never be viewed as “stuck”?  Why can a lower court not say, “Well, sure, the Supreme Court ruled that way five years ago, but times are a-changin’ fast. The law has a different meaning today”?  If the Black Robes won’t be constrained by the Constitution, why should others be constrained by their unconstitutional precedents?

We now come to the supreme arrogance of our oligarchs-cum-jurists.  For their living-law philosophy isn’t for all, is it?  It’s not for the citizen; for him law is stuck in time.  It’s not for the cop on the beat; interpretation isn’t his luxury. It’s not for the lower-court judge; for him precedent is to be pre-eminent.  It’s not even for the president, for the laws he signs are subject to Supreme Court judgments.  And judgments based on what?  Not the Constitution, obviously.  It is again merely their own judgment.

This raises the question of why we should respect the rulings of usurpers.  If they will not view the Constitution as being stuck in law, why should we view the law as being stuck in courts?  Are the dictates of black-robed oligarchs to be viewed as the only immutable elements in an ever-changing universe of laws?  Oh, ignoring court rulings would lead to a breakdown in the rule of law and this isn’t a good thing?

    Exactly.

The point is that activist judges undermine the rule of law by setting an example of contempt for it.  Others are then placed in the position of asking what adherence to the rule of law really means.  Should they defer to court judgments made by those who don’t view themselves as constrained by law?  Or, should they rather use their own judgment — as the justices are doing — as to the real meaning of the supreme law of the land, the Constitution?
This is what living-document legal rationalizations breed.  And it is why I’ve often said that all our designations for jurists, such as “constructionist” and “pragmatist,” are nonsense.  Because, really, there are only two kinds of justices: Good justices and bad justices.  Good ones do their job and abide by the Constitution.  Bad ones lawyer the law.

Hey, maybe Ginsberg and her fellow travelers should just be honest and boil this down to its bare essence. They could quote infamous occultist Aleister Crowley and say, “Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law.”
