The only addition I shall make to the title of this post is the fact that the oversight of the $108 billion will look similar to our new “Chicago” White House oversight committee:

Dem’s say: “uh, but it’s only,uh, uh, a pittance uh, uh compared to what we are already going to uh, uh, soak you with…uh…so what’s the big deal?”
News came out today that the Health Care legislation being drafted by the Democrats will include a 600 billion dollar tax increase and a $400 billion reduction in Medicare and Medicaid services(cuts in medical care for our military and elderly).
WaPo:In his weekly radio address, Obama proposed limiting the growth of Medicare fee-for-service payments …(snip)… Obama also proposed slashing subsidies to hospitals that treat uninsured patients, on the theory that very few uninsured patients will remain in the wake of reform. (Umm, kinda ignorant thinking of him, in light of his view to keep the doors open for the illegal immigrants who are the super majority of this type of abuse)
If we take this into perspective, as it will affect every single breathing body in the United States as medical insurance will now be mandatory if this is passed, the cost to each and every man, woman and child will be a mere $2000(estimated and rounded off) a year. Of course this is a low-ball estimate as they also said the cost of their program will in all likelihood be upwards of a trillion dollars and we all know how accurate their numbers are.
“There is no doubt that Medicare and Medicaid need reform, but serious changes should not be rushed through Congress as part of a new government-run program that will raise taxes and make health care more expensive, costing middle-class families even more,” said House Minority Leader John A. Boehner (R-Ohio).
So, the average family of 4 will be taxed an additional $8,000 a year on top of having to pay for their mandated health insurance. Oh, wait a minute, not everyone pays taxes, so double that number as only half of the country’s households pay income tax.
The good news is, the Dems are getting a lot of flack and feed-back from the moderates in their own party, so let’s keep up the pressure on DC and get this squashed, bagged up and thrown out into the trash-heap of bad legislation where it belongs.
But like other parts of Obama’s plan to pay for health reform, the measures announced today are likely to be met with skepticism on Capitol Hill. Many lawmakers are not enthusiastic about slashing payments to hospitals and other providers back home without clear evidence that the cuts will not hurt patients. Even small cuts on the Senate Finance Committee list have provoked widespread grumbling.
Aides in Senate Finance and House Ways and Means, whose members are now working furiously to draft health reform financing plans, predicted today that Obama’s new proposals would “raise some hackles” and spur “some pushback.”
It was also unclear whether $950 billion would indeed be enough to cover the full cost of reform. Some outside analysts have said that Congress may have to spend $1.5 trillion or more…

Even hisorical reporting is not safe from the “Obama Bias” cult:
Forget the fact that Virginia, in 1776 the colonial legislature passed the 1st “Bill of Rights”; Forget that in 1967, the Supreme Court threw out a Virginia state law banning interracial marriages; Forget the fact on this day in 1929, Holocaust diarist Anne Frank, who’s memoir is amongst the most revered accounting’s of the Jewish plight during Hitler’s reign, was born.
In reflection of this weeks events and the attack on the Holocaust Museum in DC, the birth of Anne Frank would have been the appropriate highlight for “Today in History”, but no:
Instead AP chooses to ‘highlight” a civil rights murder in some sick agenda to cloud the fact that the civil rights struggle ended 0ver 40 years ago.
In my humble opinion, this is just another example of a media tool being abused to help promote “affirmative action” and keep racial tensions alive for the leftist liberal agenda.

From America’s Right:
. . . Henry Waxman and Ed Markey’s cap-and-trade legislation, will drive American jobs overseas as business and industry move to escape an exponentially increased tax and regulatory burden, the American Energy Act will create hundreds of thousands of American jobs, through a focus on building new nuclear and oil drilling facilities from coast to coast, and off the coast as well.
From what I’ve learned, this legislation is exactly what we’ve been yammering on about here at America’s Right since, well, its inception. It truly is an all-of-the-above approach, and should be promoted as just that.
First, it starts with nuclear power. This GOP proposal sets an ambitious but job-rich national goal to construct and bring online 100 new nuclear reactors over the next two decades. Currently, as House Republicans have pointed out in recent days, America is home to 104 nuclear reactors, which provide this nation with 20 percent of its electricity and 73 percent of its carbon-emission-free electricity . . . yet not a single new reactor has been ordered since 1978.

So much for “Justice is Blind“…
60% of Sotomayor’s rulings have been over turned which is proof positive, that she is not qualified to hold the highest position in our justice system, that affirmative action is “not” equality for all under the rule of law and that this nominee needs to be derailed and FAST!!!
Take for example this excerpt from the Times interview:
“Even though Article IV of the Constitution says that treaties are the ‘supreme law of the land,’ in most instances they’re not even law,” she said.
That principle, she said, explained the outcome of a high-profile 2008 Supreme Court ruling, Medellin v. Texas, which involved an International Court of Justice ruling that some Mexican inmates on death row in Texas should get new sentencing hearings because the authorities failed to help them get help from the Mexican Consulate, contrary to a treaty the United States had ratified.
But the Supreme Court ruled that the international court’s decision had no legal force and that the treaty was not binding, because Congress never passed a statute explicitly making it domestic law.
. . . read the entire interview for further enlightenment as to her many opinions regarding the law that irrefutably disqualifies her for this lifetime position.
Even I as a lay person knows that treaties do “not” trump the Constitution unless Congress as ratified a law stating otherwise. No wonder her rulings have been overturned so often and no wonder she needed “Affirmative” action to get where she is today.
I do not care the race or color of the person who holds such a high position, the only thing that I do care about is that the most qualified person gets the job. That is the American way and affirmative action is a deterrent in the process and needs to be outlawed.

Former State Legislator Joel Dykstra is working on the “Save Our Secret Ballot- South Dakota Campaign”, to preserve the right of a secret ballot.
(snip)
Dykstra says saving secret ballot voting like this came about because of the Employee Free Choice Act, or the Check Card Bill.
The campaign needs 40,000 signatures to get the issue on the Nov. 2010 election ballot.

This is “NARCISSISM” in its extreme:
NY Times Inside the Beltway reported on May 21 that:
Graduating midshipmen of the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis are being told in writing to leave at home or in their vehicles all “ceremonial swords” and anything else “that might be considered a weapon or a threat by screeners” for Friday’s outdoor commencement ceremonies featuring an address by President Barack Obama.
Inside the Beltway has obtained the academy’s list of prohibited items for this year’s graduation exercises, which, besides ceremonial swords, includes umbrellas.
I guess he was as sword-shy, he was gun-shy:
How sad and demoralizing for our service men & women. For the 1st time in the Academy’s history, the midshipmen were not be allowed to be in “FULL” dress uniform when they graduated.
Obama is truely the “Commander in Thief”. Maybe his selective service record that has a document locater number from 2008 instead of 1980 has something to do with his disdain for our military.
