The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on Friday it was too late to contain the swine flu outbreak in the United States.
CDC acting director Dr. Richard Besser told reporters in a telephone briefing it was likely too late to try to contain the outbreak, by vaccinating, treating or isolating people.
“There are things that we see that suggest that containment is not very likely,” he said.
At least 8 cases of H1N1 have been identified in California and Texas.

The biggest reason interest in the Obama eligibility issue continues to mount, with ever more legal actions being filed and more Americans demanding answers, says WND Managing Editor David Kupelian, is simple: “Barack Obama is hiding something. About that statement, there is no dispute. Despite dozens of lawsuits, with plaintiffs including a former presidential candidate, a former deputy attorney general, many legislators, active-duty U.S. military and other serious people, Obama simply refuses to release his original, long-form birth certificate. That’s the one that could actually prove he was born in Hawaii. What is posted on Obama’s ‘Fight the Smears’ website as well as the FactCheck.org website is the abbreviated short-form ‘certification of live birth’ that could have been issued for a child born overseas, and thus does not prove he was born in Hawaii. What is so difficult about this to understand?”
And while some of the many lawsuits challenging Obama on this issue have reached the eyes of U.S. Supreme Court justices, at least one former state Supreme Court chief justice – Alabama’s Roy Moore – now says the Obama eligibility issue should be adjudicated: “Why doesn’t the president have to show that he’s a natural born citizen? … We’ve had all kinds of suits filed, and the press doesn’t mention them and the courts continually reject them. … It’s troubling to me because we’ll suffer the consequences if we ignore our Constitution.”

This is the one tri-fecta that today’s TaxDay TeaParties take aim at: A Corrupt Bloated Government/illegal immigrants due to lack of border control/obtrusive tax code.
How can we fix it? Simple, it’s called “The Fair Tax”. Everyone pays, no one is immune and how much you consume will determine how much of your hard earned dough you fork over to the government. Now, don’t get worked up. This tax would not be imposed on everyday necessities such as food, just those luxury items such as i-pods, x-boxes, well, you get the picture.

Report Says IRS Let Illegal Immigrants Take Tax Credits

Thursday, April 16, 2009The Internal Revenue Service has allowed some foreigners to improperly claim tax credits that will cost the government nearly $9 billion, according to a federal report scheduled to be released today.
The report by the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration, which was obtained by The Washington Post in advance of its release, criticizes the IRS for lax oversight of foreigners who use an alternative form of identification instead of a Social Security number. Many of the foreigners who use the code, known as an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number, are illegal immigrants, according to government officials and immigration experts.
The IRS has allowed companies who employ foreigners to file tax documents using this form of identification even though the law forbids it, the audit says. It said that 292,992 companies improperly reported wages totaling $9.5 billion in 2006 using those codes.
The practice has allowed foreigners who file their U.S. taxes using taxpayer identification numbers to inappropriately claim a child tax credit, the report said. The improper credit will cost $8.9 billion over the next five years, the inspector general’s office said. The report calls on Congress to pass legislation to fix the problem.
The IRS said in a response to the report that it disagreed with several of the inspector general’s recommendations. The tax agency said, for example, that it is the responsibility of the Social Security Administration to fix the problem of improper uses by foreigners of alternative identification numbers.
The tax agency also said it has taken several steps to improve compliance with laws governing use of these taxpayer numbers. The inspector general’s office said more changes were needed.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) report entitled “Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment”, dated April 7, 2009, which I have read, is apparently an unclassified summary of a larger classified report.
1. The summary contains few proper names, has no footnotes of any significance, lists very few sources, and is drafted with a prejudice against anyone who criticizes the role of the federal government in our lives today. It lumps together in its definition of “rightwing extremism” hate groups, anti-government groups, and single issue groups “such as opposition to abortion or immigration.”
Says Judge Andrew Napolitano: “My guess is that the sentiments revealed in the report I read are the tip of an iceberg that the DHS would prefer to keep submerged until it needs to reveal it. This iceberg is the heavy-hand of government; a government with large and awful eyes, in whose heart there is no love for freedom, and on whose face there is no smile.

In all the research I have done it still never ceases to amaze me just how corrupt a political machine can be.
Maybe it’s because of my growing up in the somewhat protected area of the upper-midwest where we were taught morals and personal responsibility, that I am still a bit naive when it comes to such sinister and corrupt activities which are more common place in larger more populated areas of the country.
With the coming of our census packet, now seems to be the perfect time to release this little treasure. You see, as soon the Obama/Soros Machine will be sending their little “commie red-shirts” to hit the streets to make sure every breathing body in America is counted, whether they are citizens, immigrants here on visa and “YES” even the illegals will be counted.
Hmmm, kinda like all those dead voters last year? I guess the Democrats feel if it’s for their benefit and . . . “If it ain’t broke, then, don’t fix it”.

As I was surfing for more information on the TWIC(Transportaion Workers Identification Card) program that I hear will soon be forcing those of us who haul fresh food products to be fingerprinted and go through a major federal background check to be able to continue to haul produce( yes, fresh food, the new hazardous material soon to be trucked nationwide) brought in though the ports from other countries, I came across this little tidbit of another future robbery of our tax dollars:
The chairman of the U.S. House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee says the next surface transportation authorization bill could top $500 billion.
Such a large piece of legislation – with a potential to be the largest transportation bill in history – should motivate truckers to let lawmakers know how they feel about it, officials with the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association said.
Rep. James Oberstar, D-MN, is optimistic that congressional committees will be hammering out details of the authorization bill come May or June. The current transportation policy and funding law known as SAFETEA-LU is due to expire in September.
Oberstar has repeatedly stated, including in a 2008 interview with Land Line, that the Highway Trust Fund and the federal tax on motor fuels will remain the cornerstone of the next era of transportation funding.
However, Oberstar and other powerful lawmakers, lobbyists and stakeholders say traditional funding methods are barely keeping up with SAFETEA-LU’s 2005 authorization of $286.5 billion.
Consensus is that the next authorization period will require new funding sources, and that translates to higher taxes for the end user.
OOIDA Director of Legislative Affairs Mike Joyce says truckers should be arming themselves with information so their sector of the industry is not ignored or taken advantage of.
“This is the big bill. This is one of those bills that will absolutely, positively, hands down, have impacts on truckers,” Joyce told Land Line.
“Truckers need to be vocal. We need all the dogs out on the porch barking, and we need to wake up the neighborhood. We need to let them know that truckers are paying their fair share . . . . . . . . .

What I and hundreds of thousands of other truckers would like to know is what the government is doing with the hundreds of billions, yes I said “HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS” in fuel tax and road tax dollars truckers pay annually. I had a long conversation with Senator Thune’s office on the fuel and road tax issue this week, and will update this post when the legislation material, they sent out to me, arrives and I have a chance to compile a report for you.
