$100 Billion Bail-Out for Euro Banks Attached to War Funding Bill; UPDATED

Well, this should not come as a surprise since it worked so well for them to attach the health care legislation to a so-called urgent economic stimulus bill per Daschle’s advice. I can hear them  now:

“Wow, that tactic worked  so well, why not try it again and see if the public doesn’t notice,” they proclaimed.

And thus that is what they did:

Democrats in Congress have agreed to provide a $100 billion credit line to the International Monetary Fund, tagging it onto the war supplemental intended for operations in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iraq.

The measure would also increase the U.S. member contribution to the IMF by $8 billion and authorize the United States to back the IMF’s plan to sell 400 tons (12.97 million ounces) of gold, according to lawmakers’ aides quoted in a Reuters report.

This would fulfil Obama’s pledge to the G20 in April, to contribute toward a $500 billion boost for the IMF, which it says will go toward “helping poorer nations” during the economic downturn.

However, what the The Treasury Department is really proposing is an international version of the Wall Street bailout; a $100 billion bailout for the IMF, which amounts to a bailout for European banks facing big losses in Central and Eastern Europe.

If the bill pasess, we will see $100 billion in U.S. tax dollars simply handed over to foreign banks with no oversight.

House Republicans, including Minority Leader John Boehner, have threatened to vote no on the war funding if the IMF money is attached.

“Let’s be clear: a troop-funding bill should fund our troops, period,” said Boehner. “Weighing down this critical legislation with nondefense spending will only drag this process out further and cost it essential Republican support needed for passage.”

“We should not be having this discussion. IMF funding has no business being included in the war supplemental” bill, said Representative Eric Cantor, a member of the Republican leadership.

The passage of the bill will be an extrememly close run contest, given that GOP votes are needed to make up for 51 anti-war Democrats who opposed it last month.

If all Republicans vote no, then the House leadership will need 18 of the Democrats to reverse their defection and vote yes.

Of course, because the IMF money is tagged onto a bill to fund U.S. troops in the field, there is increased pressure on those considering voting down the measure.

We have previously highlighted the ongoing agenda to vastly empower the IMF and transform the institution into a “bank of the world” with the power to print its own currency.

This is not a “conspiracy theory”.

As the Washington Post highlighted two months ago, the agenda is laid out in publicly available internal IMF documents, interviews and think-tank reports.

It is part of an open move to empower a group of unelected central bankers with the authority to usurp state sovereignty by overseeing benchmarks for national economic governance and setting regulations for financial institutions all over the globe.

As we have also previously highlighted, both the IMF and the United Nations have thrown their weight behind proposals to implement a de-facto global financial dictatorship.

Both bodies have expressed support for new world reserve currency system to replace the dollar as part of the acceleration towards a new economic world order.

Funding for troops protecting our nation in Iraq and Afghanistan has officially been placed on hold while Democratic leaders try to secure enough Democratic votes to attach to the legislation a $108 billion global bailout for the International Monetary Fund (IMF) – a bailout that could line the pockets of terrorist regimes around the world, according to Democratic Rep. Brad Sherman (D-CA). In a letter to his colleagues earlier today, Rep. Sherman warned, “We face the very real possibility that some of the world’s worst regimes will benefit from the additional resources provided to the IMF, World Bank and other international institutions, unless the U.S. works vigilantly to deny this assistance.”

An initial troop funding bill passed the House last month by an overwhelming bipartisan majority – 368-60. And the final version of that legislation could pass the House right now by an equally strong margin, giving our men and women in uniform all the tools they need for success in Iraq and Afghanistan. However, Democratic leaders seem willing to let that bipartisan coalition unravel as they barrel ahead with their global bailout scheme.

What is a Czar? UPDATED: What do we need a “Great Lakes” Czar for?

With the appointment of a new “Internet” czar coming down the road in the near future, my mind continues to question “just what is the purpose of all these czars”? Why after 233 years does this administration feel that the United States of America is in need of all these appointments whom will have to answer to absolutely “NO ONE” but the Oval Office and has authority to by-pass Congress? What is happening to our system of “Checks and Balances”?

Looking into the definition and then the thesaurus for other synonyms for the term Czar, it doesn’t take a genius or a collegiate to figure out that “socialism” is not on the mind of our now rogue central government in DC:

    • The Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) is an international comparison of 15-year-olds conducted by The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) that measures applied learning and problem-solving ability. In 2006, U.S. students ranked 25th of 30 advanced nations in math and 24th in science. McKinsey & Company, in releasing its report “The Economic Impact of the Achievement Gap in America’s Schools” (April 2009) said, “Several other facts paint a worrisome picture. First, the longer American children are in school, the worse they perform compared to their international peers. In recent cross-country comparisons of fourth grade reading, math, and science, US students scored in the top quarter or top half of advanced nations. By age 15 these rankings drop to the bottom half. In other words, American students are farthest behind just as they are about to enter higher education or the workforce.” That’s a sobering thought. The longer kids are in school and the more money we spend on them, the further behind they get.

    While the academic performance of white students is grossly inferior, that of black and Latino students is a national disgrace. The McKinsey report says, “On average, black and Latino students are roughly two to three years of learning behind white students of the same age. This racial gap exists regardless of how it is measured, including both achievement (e.g., test score) and attainment (e.g., graduation rate) measures. Taking the average National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) scores for math and reading across the fourth and eighth grades, for example, 48 percent of blacks and 43 percent of Latinos are ‘below basic,’ while only 17 percent of whites are, and this gap exists in every state. A more pronounced racial achievement gap exists in most large urban school districts.” Below basic is the category the NAEP uses for students unable to display even partial mastery of knowledge and skills fundamental for proficient work at their grade level.

    The teaching establishment and politicians have hoodwinked taxpayers into believing that more money is needed to improve education. The Washington, D.C., school budget is about the nation’s costliest, spending about $15,000 per pupil. Its student/teacher ratio, at 15.2 to 1, is lower than the nation’s average. Yet student achievement is just about the lowest in the nation. What’s so callous about the Washington situation is about 1,700 children in kindergarten through 12th grade receive the $7,500 annual scholarships in order to escape rotten D.C. public schools, and four times as many apply for the scholarships, yet Congress, beholden to the education establishment, will end funding the school voucher program.

    Any long-term solution to our education problems requires the decentralization that can come from competition. Centralization has been massive. In 1930, there were 119,000 school districts across the U.S; today, there are less than 15,000. Control has moved from local communities to the school district, to the state, and to the federal government. Public education has become a highly centralized government-backed monopoly and we shouldn’t be surprised by the results. It’s a no-brainer that the areas of our lives with the greatest innovation, tailoring of services to individual wants and falling prices are the areas where there is ruthless competition such as computers, food, telephone and clothing industries, and delivery companies such as UPS, Federal Express and electronic bill payments that have begun to undermine the postal monopoly in first-class mail.

    At a Washington press conference launching the McKinsey report, Al Sharpton called school reform the civil rights challenge of our time. He said that the enemy of opportunity for blacks in the U.S. was once Jim Crow; today, in a slap at the educational establishment, he said it was “Professor James Crow.” Sharpton is only partly correct. School reform is not solely a racial issue; it’s a vital issue for the entire nation.

    Hard Evidence! Proof That Obama’s Hawaii and Chicago Communist Networks Were Linked?

    It is now well established that Barack Obama was linked to the Hawaiian Communist Party network through his boyhood/teenage mentor Frank Marshall Davis.

    It is also well known that after moving to Chicago, Obama linked up with the local communist networks.

    Manning Marable, a leader of the Communist Party offshoot Committees of Correspondence for Democracy&Socialism claims that Obama “understands what socialism is. A lot of the people working with him are, indeed, socialists with backgrounds in the Communist Party or as independent Marxists. There are a lot of people like that in Chicago who have worked with him for years…”

    This leads to two key questions.

    A Were the Hawaii and Chicago networks connected?

    B Did Obama’s connection to Frank Marshall Davis in any way influence his progress up the Chicago political ladder?

    If the answer is yes to both, there are significant implications.

    It means that that the Communist Party USA was watching Obama from an early age and was willing to help his political career.

    Frank Marshall Davis was active in the Chicago Communist Party until he moved to Hawaii in late 1948.

    I speculated in this post that Davis may have known left wing journalist Vernon Jarrett in post war Chicago. A connection would be significant because the Jarrett family has played a very important role in Obama’s rise to power.

    Both Jarrett and Davis worked in the communist dominated South Side Community Art Center and on the communist influenced Chicago Defender newspaper, in late 1940s Chicago.

    I have since found conclusive evidence that Davis and Jarrett not only knew each other, but worked together in another Communist Party dominated organisation-The Citizen’s Committee to Aid Packing House Workers.

    The letter above is dated April 12, 1948. Note that CIO (Congress of Industrial Organizations) was at the time a communist controlled labor federation.


    To the left is a partial list of Citizen’s Committee to Aid Packing House Workers officials.

    Note the names Oscar C. Brown (Treasurer) and Louise T. Patterson (Assistant Treasurer), F.M. Davis and Vernon Jarrett.

    To confirm the connection, below is a close-up of the committee’s publicity committee. Note that it is chaired by Vernon Jarrett and includes Frank Marshall Davis.


    That the Citizen’s Committee was communist influenced is beyond doubt.

    Louise T Patterson was the wife of Illinois Communist Party vice-chairman and attorney William Patterson and a prominent Party member in her own right. Louise Patterson was still a leader of the Illinois Communist Party well into the 1970s.


    Further down the page was list of the organization’s “Food and groceries committee”. Named among them was Ishmael Flory, a leader of the Illinois Communist Party from the late 1930s until his death in 2004.

    Incidentally, one of the eulogists at Flory’s funeral was Timuel Black, a well known member of Committees of Correspondence for Democracy&Socialism and a long time friend and political supporter of Barack Obama.


    Oscar C Brown-later a famous jazz musician under the name Oscar Brown jnr, was also at the time a Communist Party member. he joined in 1946 and was expelled around 1954.

    In 1948 Vernon Jarrett left his job as journalist at the Chicago Defender to start a black oriented radio show “Negro Newsfront” with Oscar Brown.

    Jarrett was clearly on the far left and almost certainly, like his colleague Frank Marshall Davis, a covert member of the Communist Party.

    Jarrett worked hard promoting socialist causes including the communist controlled Progressive Party.


    Vernon Jarrett went on to become the Chicago Tribune’s first black syndicated columnist and was a founder of the National Association of Black Journalists.

    According to a Washington Post obituary May 25th 2004

    Mr. Jarrett continually shone a light on African American history and pertinent issues in Chicago and throughout the country. He stoked the political embers in Chicago that led to the 1983 election of the city’s first African American mayor, Harold Washington.


    Vernon Jarrett was a key influence in Washington’s decision to run for the Chicago mayoralty and remained a key supporter through his four year tenure.

    Harold Washington defeated the Daley machine to win the mayoralty backed by a coalition led by Chicago’s Communist Party and the local branch of Democratic Socialists of America (DSA).

    DSA member and socialist historian Paul Buhle, wrote in a 1992 article for the Encyclopedia of the American Left;

    Communists also gained from long-standing political contacts in the black community. Victories of black mayoral and congressional candidates with decades — old ties to the CP — a short list would include Coleman Young and George Crocket in Detroit, Gus Newport in Berkeley, and somewhat more ambiguously, Harold Washington in Chicago

    Washington was actively involved in Communist Party fronts such as the US Peace Council and the Chicago Committee on Southern Africa, right up to winning the mayoralty-with Party support. After victory he stacked his administration full of communists, socialists and sympathisers to create one of the most far left administrations in US history-cut short only by his pre-mature death after four years in office.

    The historic election of Washington was the culmination of many years of struggle. This legacy of political independence also endures…

    Barack Obama has stated that Harold Washington’s victory in 1983 was the spur that made him leave New York to move to Chicago.

    Vernon Jarrett was also a fan of Barack Obama. He watched his career from its early stages and became an ardent supporter.


    In 1992 Obama worked for the ACORN offshoot, Project Vote to register black voters in aid of the Senate Campaign of Carol Moseley Braun. Unsurprisingly Moseley Braun also had strong Communist Party ties and was Harold Washington’s legislative floor leader.

    Obama helped Moseley Braun win her Senate seat, then took it over himself in 2004-backed of course by the same communist/socialist alliance that had elected his political predecessors Harold Washington and Carol Moseley Braun.

    Commenting on the 1992 race, Vernon Jarrett wrote in the Chicago Sun-Times of August 11th 1992;

    Good news! Good news! Project Vote, a collectivity of 10 church-based community organizations dedicated to black voter registration, is off and running. Project Vote is increasing its rolls at a 7,000-per-week clip…If Project Vote is to reach its goal of registering 150,000 out of an estimated 400,000 unregistered blacks statewide, “it must average 10,000 rather than 7,000 every week,” says Barack Obama, the program’s executive director...

    Dee Myles is a Chicago activist and chair of the Education Commission of the Communist Party USA. In 2004, after Vernon Jarret’s death from cancer she penned this tribute for the People’s Weekly World of June 5th.

    Readers like me can be extremely selective of the journalists we read habitually… We are selective about the journalists to whom we become insatiably addicted, and once hooked we develop a constructive love affair without the romance….

    Such was my experience with Vernon Jarrett, an African American journalist in Chicago who died at the age of 86 on May 23. I became a Vernon Jarrett addict, and I am proud of it!

    Vernon Jarrett’s career as a journalist in Chicago began and ended at the Chicago Defender, the African American daily paper. In between, he was the first Black journalist at the Chicago Tribune, and I first began to read his articles during his tenure at the Chicago Sun-Times

    Jarrett’s claim to fame is that he was a partisan of the cause of African Americans in the broad democratic tradition of Paul Robeson and W.E.B. DuBois..

    Robeson and DuBois were both Communist Party members. On April 9th, 1998 at Chicago’s South Shore Cultural Center, Jarrett hosted a Paul Robeson Citywide Centennial Celebration event, with his old comrade and Party sympathiser Margaret Burroughs and former Communist Party members Studs Terkel and his old friend Oscar C.Brown.

    Dee Myles continues;

    Jarrett was fanatical about African Americans registering and voting in mass for socially conscious candidates. He championed Harold Washington like a great warrior, and this March, from his hospital bed, wrote an article appealing to Black Chicago to turn out to vote for Barack Obama in the Illinois primaries. Obama astounded everyone with an incredible landslide victory as the progressive, Black candidate for the Democratic Party nomination for the U.S. Senate seat from Illinois. From his sickbed, Vernon Jarrett issued a clarion call, and the people responded.

    The Jarrett/Obama conection did not end with Vernon Jarrett’s death-it moved to a higher level with his famous daughter-in-law Valerie Jarrett.

    A former Deputy Corporation Counsel for Finance and Development under Harold Washington, Jarrett continued to work in the mayor’s office into the 1990s.

    In 1991, while Deputy Chief of Staff for Mayor Richard Daley, Jarrett hired Michelle Robinson, then engaged to Barack Obama.

    Later Valerie Jarrett ran the finances for Obama’s 2004 Senate bid and served as treasurer of Obama’s HOPEFUND.

    The relationship is more than professional-Jarrett is regarded as one of the Obamas’ closest friends and advisors.


    According to Take Political Action May 24th 2008;

    “She’s always been the other side of Barack’s brain.” That’s how an Obama insider described Valerie Jarrett as an Obama campaign aide announced Thursday night the former CTA chief and current Habitat Co. CEO is taking on a larger role to help her close friend win his White House bid.

    The development comes as Jarrett, a charter member of Sen. Barack Obama’s kitchen cabinet, has been formalizing her portfolio and stepping up the pace within the past few weeks as a top advisor within the campaign.

    Though she will be part-time, Jarrett will be one of the most visible and powerful African-Americans in the top rungs of the Obama operation…

    Today Valerie Jarrett serves as one of three Senior Advisors to President Obama. She is Assistant to the President for Intergovernmental Affairs and Public Engagement, and Chairs the White House Commission on Women and Girls.

    Frank Marshall Davis works closely in communist causes with Vernon Jarrett in Chicago. Davis moves to hawaii where he eventually meets and mentors a young Barack Obama. Then Obama moves to Chicago where his career is promoted by both Davis’s old colleague Vernon Jarrett and the Communist Party. Vernon Jarrett’s daughter-in-law employs Barack Obama’s fiance, befriends the family and becomes one of President Obama’s most trusted advisors. The Communist Party throws its entire weight behind Obama’s presidential campaign.

    Are we expected to believe that this is all mere coincidence?

    Would there be an Obama/Jarrett relationship today, if there had been no Frank Marshall Davis/Jarrett connection through the Communist Party of post war Chicago?

    What role, if any, has the modern Communist Party USA played in fostering that relationship in more recent times?

    The Communist Party USA continues to back their “friend” Barack Obama.

    How deeply has the Communist Party been involved in advancing Obama’s political career-through the Jarrett family, or by other means?

    The answers to these questions will have major implications for the future of what’s left of the free world.

    Barack Obama told America and the whole world that he was going to “hit the ground running,” if he was elected as the next United States President. All I know is he was right. Only thing is, after he was elected, he stumbled on the doorstep on the way into the White House, fell flat face first with his nose down in the Oval Office doorway, and he hasn’t gotten up off the floor yet. Apparently, he likes being in that position! He’s still hobbling along and trying to drag America down with him. Can’t help you there, bud! And I’m not sorry.

    What more can we say? Barack Obama has been in office less than two months and, instead of being a boon to the American economy, he is a bane to America’s existence, and he is the prime example of why third-world nations are steeped in sickness and poverty. In the same way, Obama is trying hard every day to turn America into an impoverished, sick nation which is reliant upon the government for its very existence and sustenance.

    That is not the American way and never has been. And, before this is all over, the Obama Administration will finally hear and understand that they are not beyond the long arm of the law no matter how many supporters they have on hand to pile money into their coffers to help them to out wait the opposition.

    Exactly what does the Obama Administration take us for?

    This man has been proved every step of the way to be incompetent in all his dealings and, consequently, he is incapable of leading men and women—an entire nation. But, to let many in the nation, the world, and the main stream media tell it, Barack Obama is an overnight wonder who has changed the world’s condition as no one else could do or has ever done.

    Meanwhile people are suffering and Obama is leading the call for these people to continue to suffer unless they go along with him and his bag of tricks stored up his sleeves. He will bring out the bag to rob them and deny them a voice because, as he and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid—leaders of the DEMS, have said, “We WON!”

    In general, Americans—beyond denomination and political party affiliation, are far too intelligent to be outsmarted by anybody who fakes their way through life hoping that nobody else would catch on to their life-long cons. How could America get into such a predicament? How can Americans get out from under this ongoing, oppressive, illegal, ungodly, UNAmerican lunatic?

    First of all, the people who presume to speak on behalf of all Americans in this dreadful situation, must first be willing to admit we are not dealing with a national leadership that is operating with a full deck. Truer words have never been spoken when somebody once coined the phrase, “The elevator doesn’t go all the way to the top.” And, when referring to Obama, how can we infer anything else when he continues to say to the nation that his destructive agenda is what the American people have voted for? Give me a break!

    I believe closer to the truth is the fact that had the national news media performed its professional and ethical job to be objective in reporting factual news, more people would have understood the true nature of Obama’s planned agenda for America. Instead, the media and rich supporters stepped up to knock down the truth about Obama—and he denied—every time—what we knew and reported about him based on archival documentation.

    So, here we are now vindicated despite the vilification of not only DEMS, but also conservatives and Christians who—even now—refuse to admit we were right even as they are climbing up on the band wagon, as if they were on it all the time. And, they have tried to throw us overboard. But we are still here and we are hanging on by more than our fingernails. Our voices are stronger than any nail!!! And, even in our hoarseness, we will scream all the louder and attract more attention of the masses to come take a look to see that what has happened to us will be their plight, unless they stop in the silence to, themselves, be quiet to listen and hear—and join in the chorus to take up the slack!

    Let the learned, gifted, highly degreed continue to project their voices in their fashion, if they will. However, it is the simple, easy-to-understand speech which does the most good for the most folk who are waiting to hear that Clarion Call for all of them to rise up and do battle — And so they are on the battlefield and have resolved that none of us will ever allow Obama or anybody else to change our Constitution! But who will declare it, if we don’t?

    Is anybody listening? Doesn’t matter, because we will keep on telling it, anyhow until we have leadership back in charge that is Godly and committed to serving this nation in the interest of what bespeaks a society which is orderly and fosters clean living in every area of life for all citizens who know the difference between right and wrong in the spirit, traditions, values, ethics, morals, and mores of the American way of life to the glory of the God who has “brought us thus far along the way!”

    After my having preached and fought for more than 20 years both in and out of the pulpit, if Americans don’t get it by now that this Preacher (and so many more, besides) have a message from heaven which will keep all of us safe and secure and at peace, then they will never understand. And they must be swiftly brushed aside, as we journey on.

    Nobody in their right mind would ever place an asp in their bosom to keep it safe and warm and expect that snake to not bite them. So what makes people believe that we can continue to excuse Obama for all the flaws he has exhibited in this brief period as “Dear Leader?” (In his wildest dreams). But, after all, the buck really does now stop with Obama since he’s in the job he said he wanted and could handle. We just forgot to ask how he was going to handle it beforehand? But then we already knew.

    Let me ask you a question. Can you now say the same about Barack Obama? After all, he holds the veto pen in his hands at the moment. But that pen does not include censorship in any way, shape, or form.

    From a proud natural-born, American citizen who can place her hands on her Bible and birth certificate to present them under oath upon request in a second flat! Say about me what you will, but this is not about me, anyhow! It is all about you and yours and it is about the real HOPE that does not CHANGE based on anybody’s race, creed, color, gender, or political affiliation!!!

    OK Rep. John Sullivan Seeks Alcohol Treatment

    TULSA, Oklahoma — Tulsa Congressman John Sullivan checked himself into the Betty Ford Center in California to treat an alcohol addiction Thursday night.

    “I value my relationship with the citizens of Oklahoma’s First Congressional District, whom I am privileged and honored to have served for the past eight years. So, I wanted to be open and honest on this tough situation,” the conservative Republican said in his statement.

     

    Our support and prayers go out to Congressman Sullivan, praying for a full recovery for him as well as the respect to privacy that he and his family deserve. In the meantime, inside reports have leaked out that OK State Rep. Mike Ritze (R) has been appointed by the OK Governor to fill Congressman Sullivan’s seat in the US House of Representatives:

    May 30, 2009 – 1:52PM ************ BREAKING NEWS ************ and great news “Yes thats right folks, the man who stood up on December 22,2008 and said I am not going to take it anymore is about to become US CONGRESSMAN DR MIKE RITZE”

    The congressman in Dr Mike’s district checked into a rehab center and then resigned. Dr. Mike was appointed in his place. This is the information that I recieved from ***(name redacted for security/privacy) this morning. I sent Dr. Mike an email congratulating him and he sent it back saying “Thanks ***(name redacted for security/privacy)”.

    I have had the pleasure of conversing and corresponding with Dr Mike Ritze this year. He is one of the most up-standing, forthright and conservative Representative any state constituent could ask for. He has an unwavering record in his work for a very limited central government, he stands strong and firm for state rights as well as individual rights under the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and he is NOT afraid to take on the “BIG GUNS” to get passed what he knows is the right and proper thing under the original intent of the framers of the Constitution!!!

    With the libs working to quickly shove national health-care down our throats before the end of summer, we will now have another working, yet a much more powerfully stronger voice for the side of conservatism and the free market enterprise.

    This is another small step for Conservatives nationwide. Let us say a nightly prayer that our own wavering elected officials will drink from Rep Mike Ritze’s cup of “Constitutional Kool-aide”!

    So, in closing, just know that this is my optimism spouting off here. Mike’s appointment is yet to be announced publicly, so please do not quote this as official until the fat lady has finished singing.

    UPDATE: the reports of Sullivan’s resignation were premature, but due to not yet released information, it is expected that he will be resigning. I will update when I have full confirmation.
