This is in response to Kranz’s article “Political Advantage”: I can not disagree more.
In such economically hard times, BIG government is NOT the answer and allowing a pork laden bill to pass is NOT fiscally responsible. Stephanie Herseth-Sandlin’s stance that she is a quote “Blue-Dog” is the biggest oxymoron I have heard in years. When a so called “Blue-Dog” does not stand and vote with the leader of the “Blue-Dogs”, she no longer can claim that she is truly a conservative democrat.
Stephanie has proven in the last couple months that she is more interested in her political career/clout. She has found true camaraderie within the most liberal, fiscally irresponsible group in DC and she will have the fight of her life unless she turns back and starts standing strong against any and ALL earmarks and pork laden bills and budgets.
When you are laid off due to employer cutbacks because the tax increases she voted for, remember to call her and thank her for the tax increases that not only hurt all the main street businesses that cost you your job, but also the tax increases hitting your pocket book at home by newly implemented and higher taxes on everyday necessities such as water, heating fuel, electricity and food.
